Great
I didnt want to buy it because I knew I could just go on the Google Reader website and read everything there. But the UI is just too good. Its too simple and nice NOT to buy. The price was holding me back though. I used Mobile RSS on my iPad before I returned it, and I loved it. It would be cool if there was some kind of package deal where if you buy this one you can get a discount on the iPhone or iPad app. It would be even better if the iOS app was universal.
Anyway, Mobile RSS is a really nice Google Reader client. Im a big fan of it.
Some things I dont like:
It needs an unsubscribe function: I tried double clicking, secondary clicking, and I checked the menus. I clicked "Help" and "MobileRSS Help" but theres nothing there. NetNewsWire (the ad-supported version from their site, not the lite version from the app store) will let you unsubscribe from the app and its free. For $5, this app should out perform any free app (ad supported or not). I understand how time consuming and difficult it is to build an application. So, as a suggestion, please add the ability to unsubscribe from feeds from the app. If its already there, I apologize, but its not easy to find.
Feedback when sending to Instapaper: It would be nice if a pop-up would appear or some kind of dialog box to confirm that the article has been sent to Instapaper. Im not sure if other sharing features return a notification because I dont use anything but Instapaper at the moment.
In-app browser: This might be a tough one, but being able to view full feeds that have been truncated in the app rather than having to open a web browser would be great. Im not sure if this is the sort of coding that would bump the price up the NetNewsWre level (Ive only worked with C# for Windows Phone 7, where it is relateively easy to add a browser into an app) but it would be pretty awesome if the feature was there.
